On June 6, 2015, Healing the Children and The Sport Business Club at UCF hosted the 9th Annual Family Day Golf Fundraiser to help provide vital medical services to ill and underprivileged children around the world. Students in the sport business minor assisted with event planning and operations. For example, students registered golfers, secured corporate partnerships and donations, and coordinated event logistics. Each year this fundraiser event enables Healing the Children to provide over $300,000 in medical aid to children. One of the core objectives of our undergraduate sport business management program is to utilize sport as a platform to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others. We thank the many student volunteers, golfers, sponsors, and donors who made this event possible.
